Northern Virginia Softball Umpires Association

The Northern Virginia Softball Umpires Association (NVSUA) is Virginia’s premier officiating association dedicated to the game of fast pitch softball. Each year throughout northern Virginia and the District of Columbia, NVSUA officiates:

• 900 public and private high school and college women’s club games,
• Girls recreational league softball ages 10-18, and
• Competitive tournaments during the summer and fall months.

Our officials go through extensive training on the rules and mechanics of high school and USA Softball are recognized annually for their service and professionalism. For example, NVSUA has 33 umpires inducted into USA Softball’s National Indicator Fraternity.
