For six years, I have dedicated myself to umpiring baseball, a journey that began when an injury sidelined me from catching during my sophomore year of high school. Initially, I started umpiring in Little League not only to stay connected to the sports I love but also to earn some extra money. This last season I transitioned to umpiring softball as well as baseball. This transition allowed me to remain involved in baseball & softball, helping to foster the same passion for the games that I had experienced as a player. Being an Eagle Scout has instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility and community service, which I carry into my role as an umpire. I understand the importance of creating a positive environment for young athletes. My commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to play is what motivates me. Umpiring is not just a job for me; it is a way to contribute to the game and support the next generation of players as they develop their skills and love for baseball & softball. In addition to my umpiring duties, I serve as the head field technician at Osborne Park High School, where I take care of all the fields and grounds. This role complements my passion for baseball and softball and also reinforces my dedication to the sport. By maintaining the playing surfaces, I ensure that athletes have a safe and enjoyable place to compete. Umpiring allows me to combine my love for the games with my commitment to service, making every game a rewarding experience.
