2nd Quarter 2025: Robert Salsberry

Robert started playing slow pitch softball at 16 years old and continued to play during his 30 year Air Force career to include some fastpitch softball.  Upon his retirement in 2008, he became a USA slow pitch softball umpire in Southern Virginia.  Upon moving to Northern Virginia in 2010, he continued umpiring and eventually took on fastpitch softball by joining the Northern Virginia Softball Umpire Association and received training by the Umpire in Chief Joe DeFranco. Due to his superb training, Robert has worked three USA Softball Eastern National Tournaments and he is a certified member of the USA Softball National Indicator Fraternity.
