Denmark was born in Washington, D.C., but lived in St. Louis, Missouri and Ogden, Utah, prior to his family making the Gulf Coast in Mississippi home.
Denmark graduated from Alcorn State University. While at Alcorn, Denmark met the love of his life (Jackie) and married in July 1995. Denmark and Jackie recently celebrated their 30 year anniversary. Denmark began umpiring Adult Slow-Pitch
Softball in 2004 and was named Fairfax Adult Softball Rookie of the Year. Denmark officiated adult slow-pitch from 2004 until 2023, but took some years off to focus on his son’s passion for basketball. Denmark’s son (Denmark II) earned a
Division 1 scholarship in basketball and played at High Point University. In 2023, Denmark decided to step out of his comfort zone and pursue fast-pitch softball. Denmark enjoys the challenges and personal rewards of officiating fast-pitch
softball. In July, Denmark worked his first Eastern Region National Tournament. Denmark was humbled to be selected to officiate a finals game for this tournament.
